Whale Watch Pioneers
Whale watching with Hervey Bay Whale Watch means you will be cruising with the whale watch pioneers, Brian and Jill Perry who started the industry in Hervey Bay Fraser Coast, Queensland, Australia in 1987.

Brian and Jill were the first people to offer whale watching from vessels in Australia and the South Pacific. This opened up a whole new experience that people sitting on headlands trying to get a glimpse of a whale in the distance only dreamed about.

Why Hervey Bay
When Brian and Jill first moved to Hervey Bay it was for the relaxed life style and a great place to bring up their daughter.
Since starting the whale watch industry in Australia, whales can now be seen right round the coast of Australia.
Hervey Bay stands out as the best place in the world to see Humpback whales.
Hervey Bay where the whales come to rest and play.

Family owned and operated
The Original Whale Watch Operators Brian and Jill have been at the forefront of the whale watching industry development over the years.
Brian has been a contributing member to many industry boards and associations including the presidency of the Whale Watch Industry Association. Currently he is the Vice President of Whale and Dolphin Watch Australia Association.

Jill spends her time organising all the mundane things. You may even have the pleasure of Jill picking you up in the courtesy bus from your accommodation.

Sarah has worked in the family business starting out making muffins. She is now a qualified skipper.

Whale watching innovators
Whale Watching Australia - Under Water View Innovations such as fitting hydrophones (underwater microphones); installation of onboard screens for monitoring underwater activity through underwater cameras and onboard video and DVD burning equipment.
