King Tide Foreshore Cruise

Everyone likes to get out and cruise the esplanade taking in the rare king tide event, come out and have a look from a new perspective as we cruise along the foreshore of Hervey Bay.

The 'King Tide Foreshore Cruise' has now sold out on Quick Cat II. Due to the amount of early interest we have brought a second boat online so no one misses out, The awesome team at Freedom 3 have offered another 50 seats to join along as we wind our way along the coast of Hervey Bay.

On Sunday the 28th of February at 9:28am the tide will peak at 4.12 metres thats 1.22 metres above our average high tide.

These rare higher than normal tides allow us to get the boat in a lot closer to shore than we normally would giving us the chance to see the beaches of Hervey Bay from a whole new perspective.

As we move through the bay keep your eyes peeled because there is even the chance of catching a glimpse of our local wildlife/marine life such as Turtles, Dolphin or the elusive Dugong.

Please keep in mind that we may cancel this cruise if we are presented with bad weather on this particular day, If we do cancel this cruise due to weather you will recieve a 100% refund for your ticket.

INFO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR CRUISE
Weather & Sea Conditions

The team at Hervey Bay Whale Watch have been doing this for a long time and know the bay and the conditions well.

We usually have great conditions and the bay is usually protected and calm BUT… Sometimes it may get a bit rough!

We will never leave the harbour if conditions are dangerous and we will advise you of the expected conditions before departure. Different people have different expectations, some people aren’t bothered by rough days, but we want you to enjoy your experience with us so if it’s a rough day we are happy to re book your cruise for a calmer day.

If the day is too rough to be enjoyable, we will advise you as soon as possible that the cruise will be cancelled. You have the choice of a refund or to book for another cruise.

Conditions
  • Hervey Bay Whale Watch reserve the right to substitute another vessel at any time
  • Cruise may be cancelled or substituted due to weather or tide conditions or if viable passenger numbers are not reached
